A minimum of 2ml of EDTA anti-coagulated blood( Red EDTA bottle) and a minimum of 0.5ml of serum (Brown serum gel) is required
Dispatch and handling instructions
Trypanosomes disintegrate rapidly on removal from the body, therefore it is vital that EDTA whole blood must be examined within 24 hrs
