AAFB microscopy will be performed and reported on day of receipt. AAFB microscopy is not performed on gastric aspirates and urine samples. Isolates requiring sensitivity testing are referred to PHE National Mycobacterial Reference Laboratory. Results may take up to 8 weeks to be completed
