Clinical indications
EUROCLASS method. Assesses proportion of naïve, marginal zone, switched memory and transitional B cells and plasmablasts. Abnormalities have been defined in patients with CVID and other immune deficiencies
Specimen requirement
1ml EDTA Plus a healthy control sample
Dispatch and handling instructions
Samples should be less than 24 hours old and arrive before 2pm on a Friday. A full blood count MUST be taken the same day to allow enumeration and full evaluation of lymphocytes
