Responding to climate emergency: a sound art work

GOSH Arts and the Sustainability team invited artists Nigel Barret and Louise Mari, Remi Graves and Youngsook Choi to each lead a project with staff from Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) actively and creatively working to reduce the impact that the Trust has on our environment and to bring nature into our hospital; and with our children and young people - those most adversely effected by the causes and impact of climate and ecological breakdown.

Individually the three projects led by the artists explored what has happened, what is happening and what needs to happen at GOSH in response to the current situation. Collectively the projects aim to inspire and empower other people to make changes both at GOSH and at home and communicate messages of hope about the future of our planet and its children.

Climate emergency is a health emergency – as a Trust it is critical that we act.

This sound artwork by Nigel & Louise brings together the voices of children and young people and clinicians, who share their ideas on how to respond to the current ecological situation and why it is important to them.
