Student placements within the Play department

We are committed to continuous learning and therefore we welcome applications for placements for professionals in training. Due to capacity placements are limited, this enables us to give a good quality of support to those students in the team. We apologise in advance if we aren’t able to accommodate your request.

Please ensure you read the following information to speed up your application process.

Priority is given to students undertaking the Foundation Degree (FdA) Healthcare Play Specialism course, please ensure you have secured a place on the course before requesting a mentor placement.

Students from Playwork and childcare/child development courses will be considered as well as MSc Drama therapy students completing their final dissertation.

Those with supporting documents from their tutors and a DBS in place before applying are more likely to secure a place. The clearance process usually takes six weeks and confirmation will be sent on completion.
