Refer a patient to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Neurodisability department
The Neurodisability Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) provides specialist expertise in the assessment and management of children with complex neuro-developmental or locomotor disorders.
We endeavour to work closely with the child’s local team to ensure a shared understanding and help implement recommendations.
The team is made up of consultant paediatric neurologists, consultant developmental paediatricians, clinical specialist physiotherapists, clinical specialist occupational therapists, neuro-psychologists, specialist speech and language therapists, an assistive technologist and administrative staff.
Services and facilities available
The main reasons for referral are diagnosis, second opinion, and educational/behavioural advice. We also provide a range of specialist clinics for rare conditions.

How to refer to the Wolfson Neurodisability Service
Outpatient appointment
As a tertiary care hospital, all children who attend Great Ormond Street Hospital must be referred via local hospital consultants or community paediatricians.
All referrals should be sent by post, or fax to the relevant consultant and service to the following address:

Outreach appointments may be suggested, for example, at the local child development centre, nursery, school, or at home.
Local professionals are welcome to attend our appointments with parental permission.
The letter must be accompanied by reports/assessments that have been carried out locally.
How to get advice for patients known to GOSH
For information about patients under the care of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Neurodisability Service, please contact the Service Coordinators.

How to get advice for patients not known to GOSH
The service is not able to provide advice on patients who have not been assessed by the service.
If you have an urgent query regarding the neuro-developmental situation of a child, please contact the on-call neurology service by calling 020 7405 9200 and requesting the neurology service bleep.
