Training opportunities at the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre
The Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital offers accredited training for neuromuscular disorders in children.
We accept self-funded fellows to come and work with us in the clinical field of paediatric neuromuscular disorders, muscle pathology, or in physical therapy.
We typically accept attachment for periods of 6-12 months from colleagues who have a clear intention to pursue a clinical or academic career in neuromuscular disorders.
Applicants wishing to apply for an attachment should send a one-page letter of intent to Professor Francesco Muntoni, accompanied by a copy of their CV, names of two senior referees, and a suggestion of a 6-12 month period when the attachment could take place. We will provide a response within four weeks from the application.
Once accepted, it is important for applicants to contact the General Medical Council (GMC) to obtain information on how to get registered, as without GMC registration it is not possible to have direct patient contact.
