Clinical outcomes (FDT)
Goal-based outcomes
Goal-based outcomes (GBOs) are a way to evaluate progress towards achieving goals in clinical work with children and young people, and their families and carers. They compare how far a young person or their parents/carers feel they have moved towards reaching up to three goals they set at the start of assessment and treatment, compared to where they are by end of treatment using a scale from 0-10 (0= goal not met at all; 10 = goal reached). The data below represent the average change in goals scores rated by parents and carers, and children and younger people who completed treatment in the FDT, between January 2016 and December 2017.
The Friends and Family Test
The Patient Friends and Family test asks parents, carers and children and young people about their experience and the care they have received from our team. The star below represents all the comments we received from the parents, carers and children and young people who were in seen by our team between January 2016 and December 2017.
We also ask parents, carers and children and young people to complete an Experience of Service Questionnaire when they are discharged from our service, below are some feedback we received:
“The people completely understood my child and were passionate about helping them. They were reassuring and positive and it was clear they were extremely knowledgeable. We were incredibly grateful.” (Parent)
“It was life changing, amazing, thoughtful for my child and I.” (Parent)
