Today marks 75 years of the NHS. In celebration we are looking back at some photos from our archive which span the last 75 years at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

NHS 75th Anniversary celebrations at GOSH

The NHS turned 75 on the 5th July. Take a look at how we celebrated at GOSH and said a big thank you to everyone in the incredible GOSH family.

Family with rare condition are recipients of 500th Heart Transplant at GOSH

A wonderful day at GOSH Play Street

What a wonderful day at Play Street! Our fantastic annual event returned, welcoming patients, families and children from our local area to join us for an afternoon of play.

GOSH patient first in the UK to receive improved kidney transplant

Eight-year-old Aditi is the first child in the UK and on the NHS to be taken off immunosuppressants just one-month after kidney transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Families celebrate GOSH's Conjoined Twins Day

Six sets of twins came together to be seen by their different teams on Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Conjoined Twins’ Day.

Clinical trial results give new hope for children with rare brain tumours

Researchers who are searching for better treatments for an incredibly rare type of brain tumour have published successful results from the latest rounds of clinical trials.

During November 2023 our iconic Peter Pan and Tinkerbell sculpture will be moving from their current home at the main entrance to Great Ormond Street Hospital, as we prepare for the construction of the Children’s Cancer Centre.

A patient has celebrated the 35th anniversary of their heart and lung transplant – making them GOSH’s longest surviving recipient of this kind of transplant.

The Chief Executive of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Mat Shaw, has become Whittington Health NHS Trust’s Interim Accountable Officer. This role is in addition to his role at GOSH.
