The GOSH BRC Junior Faculty is pleased to invite ALL early career researchers from across GOSH, ICH and our Paediatric Excellence Initiative partner sites to the next session in its Bitesize Seminar Series about how to secure funding for you research. The session will be on Wednesday 21st June from 4pm – 5.30pm and will provide an insight from speakers about their experiences securing funding for their research, as well as advice on what makes a good grant application and how to take feedback on board from grant applications.
The session will be led by Dr Gwyneth Davies, a UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellow, Professor David Long (GOSH BRC Gene, Stem and Cellular Therapies Theme Deputy Lead) and Professor Thomas Voit (GOSH BRC Director). Talks will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr Polly Livermore (NIHR Advanced Clinical and Practitioner Academic Fellow), Dr Gabriel Galea (Wellcome Clinical Research Development Fellow) and Dr Amy McTague (MRC Clinician Scientist Fellow) - to answer any questions attendees may have. .
Background
NIHR GOSH BRC Junior Faculty is running a seminar series of educational topics for early career researchers. There will be six seminars every year focusing on skills to help give researchers training and networking opportunities to help in their academic careers.
We welcome all early career early career researcher colleagues including clinicians, PhD students, post-docs, nursing and AHP staff and any others not mentioned here from across GOSH, ICH and our partner sites within the paediatric excellence initiative.

This seminar in the series on 'How to secure funding for your research' and will be held on Tuesday 21st June from 4pm - 5.30pm. It will be a hybrid event, with attendees joining online via Zoom and in person in the Ryan Connolly Room in the Zayed Centre for Research.
