GOSH A Moment of Research 2021

The Research Communications team at GOSH/NIHR GOSH BRC invite you to enter our inaugural research image competition: A Moment of Research. 

Do you regularly use microscopy that not only furthers your research but also produces beautiful and intriguing science images that you’d love to share? Or maybe your research generates data or other imagery?

We’re looking for impactful images that highlight any aspect of the research taking place here – you can even submit photography if you have consent from everyone in the shot (please do not include any patient photography).

The deadline for submissions is 5pm on the 20 December but we will start looking at images as soon as they arrive so submit soon.

Following a shortlisting process individual winning entries will be selected by:

• A panel favourite (made up of members of GOSH, the NIHR GOSH BRC and GOSH Children’s Charity)
• A Young Person’s Advisory Group favourite
• A social media favourite

Winning entrants will be awarded with a canvas or print of their selected image or photograph.

Shortlisted entries will all be featured within displays around GOSH and at the NIHR GOSH BRC showcase in February 2022.

All shortlisted entries will be featured on the GOSH website and external content about the competition.

Please do get rifling through those ‘favourite’ folders, check with any relevant supervisor, complete the online form and send your images to research.communications@gosh.nhs.uk. While we’d love to get back to everyone, we will be in contact with shortlisted entries by the end of January 2022 .
