Junior Faculty Committee
The NIHR GOSH BRC Junior Faculty Committee meets bi-monthly.
Co-chairs: Dr Amy McTague, Dr Julien Baruteau, Dr Conor McCann and Dr Polly Livermore
Co-chaired by a Junior Faculty leadership team (representing clinical, non-clinical and wider healthcare professionals), the chair will rotate yearly. Junior Faculty leads attend and report to our Science Board meeting, participate in theme management and take part in Grant Review Panels, providing leadership development opportunities.
Our activities include:
- NIHR GOSH BRC Catalyst Fellowship grants to help Early Career researchers fund gaps between fellowships.
- Host a Bitesize Educational Seminar Series of regular events for early career researchers.
- Develop the mentoring scheme both within NIHR GOSH BRC and across the UCL BRC network for intra and inter departmental mentoring.
- Support applications to the NIHR Infrastructure Visiting Speaker Award scheme.
- NIHR GOSH BRC Junior Faculty Conference and Training Support Fund which is designed to support travel and related expenses for researchers based at ICH or GOSH to attend and participate in conferences
