Lucy Alderson
Lucy Alderson’s research interest has focused on the accurate measurement of children’s gait and walking in a clinical setting. She developed normal percentile charts for different gait measurements as part of her PhD and is currently leading an additional project to expand the project to generate a robust clinical measurement tool.
Qualifications
Lucy Alderson completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at University of Queensland in 1994. She subsequently completed an Msc in NeuroPhysiotherapy at University College London in 2002. She was awarded a grant from the Health Foundation and completed her PhD in 2007 looking at clinical measurement of gait in children.
Research Interests
Research interests include children with spinal dysraphism and lipomas in addition to her interest in children undergoing surgery for treatment of epilepsy.
