Specialisms
Dr Elena Fernandez-Garcia is interested in all aspects of general paediatric anaesthesia with a special emphasis on anaesthesia for ENT and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr Fernandez-Garcia is the lead for Quality Improvement and Outcome Measures for the department of anaesthesia.
Qualifications
Dr Fernandez-Garcia completed her medical training in Spain, qualifying from the University Complutense of Madrid in 1996. After medical posts in cardiology and intensive care at the Middlesex hospital, she trained in anaesthesia at University College London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals. Prior to her appointment as a consultant, she undertook a research Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Royal London Hospitals.

Dr Fernandez-Garcia is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the UCL Institute of Child Health.
