Quality reports
Every year, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) treats thousands of children and young people from different parts of the UK and abroad.
We are dedicated to making sure that the service we provide to children and their families is the best it can be. To help us monitor the quality of our services, we measure what we do and how we do it. Some of this monitoring is presented in our quality reports.
The quality report (previously known as the quality account) is an annual report produced for the public by NHS healthcare providers about the quality of services they deliver.
The quality report details the progress we have made in improving the quality of services since our last quality report. It also describes the areas in which we want to focus our quality improvement work over the coming year.
Our overarching priorities for improving the quality of care we deliver are:
- Safety - to reduce all avoidable harm to zero.
- Effectiveness - to consistently deliver clinical outcomes that place us among the top five children’s hospital in the world.
- Experience - to consistently deliver an excellent experience that exceeds our patients’, families’ and referrers’ expectations.
